SADZA, UNITING  ALL ZIMBABWEAN TRIBES INTO ONE STRONG NATION.
Located in the southern part of Africa is a very beautiful nation Zimbabwe. It has one of the seven natural wonders of this world the Victoria falls .There are also many other tourist attracting places like Kariba , Great Zimbabwe in Masvingo , the Matopos in Bulawayo and also the eastern highlands of Mutare . In these different parts of the country are different tribes and also dialects. The two major tribes in Zimbabwe are Shona and Ndebele.

The Shona tribe is the most dominant in the country and it takes up almost 9 of the 10 provinces in the country. Despite this Shona has so many dialects itself which occupy specific areas in the country. In Mutare and the rest of the Manicaland are the Manyika, in Binga are the Tonga, the rest of the country is occupied by karanga and zezuru.
Bulawayo which is the second capital of the country and also a province on its own is the home and centre of the Ndebele tribe. The Ndebele speak Ndebele.
Despite the different tribes and dialects, every Zimbabwean eats sadza. Sadza as commonly known by the Shona is known as isitshwala in Ndebele. Sadza is the staple food of Zimbabwe and is consumed for lunch and dinner on a daily basis in most families. Sadza is made of maize meal which is known as hupfu in Zimbabwe. Since most Zimbabweans do home based growing of maize it makes sadza one of the most affordable meals in the country. Sadza is served with different relish in different areas. In Mutare ,Nyanga and Chipinge they like sadza and pork relish since there is a lot of piggery in that part of the country. In Kariba ,Victoria falls and Binga sadza is usually served with fish or game meat since those are the fishing and game parts of the country. In Harare , Bulawayo ,Gweru ,Kwekwe ,Kadoma , Masvingo and other parts of the country sadza is served with various relishes like sadza and beef , sadza and chicken ,sadza with various type of  vegetables and also sadza and fish.

Since sadza is consumed daily in Zimbabwe , Zimbabweans pay specific attention to its taste .A very popular  business  nowadays in Zimbabwe is the business of selling sadza with different dishes , popularly known as “sadza pano” which means “sadza here”.
